Getting to The Great Qin: Metro and Driving

The theatre sits in Fengdong, west of the city, a fair distance from the classic sights. Planning the trip in advance saves a lot of trouble. Three options.

Metro (the easiest)

• Metro Line 5, Afanggong Nan (阿房宫南) Station, Exit A or D.
• Walk north along Tiantai Road about 1 km — roughly 10 minutes to the theatre.
• A few yuan each way, and trains are still running when the evening show lets out around 21:00.

Driving or taxi

• Address: northeast corner of Fengdong Avenue and Tiantai Road, Weiyang District, Xi’an (Fengdong New Town, West-Xian New Area).
• Parking:
  • Lot 1: east side of the theatre, free, no EV charging.
  • Lot 2: across the street south of the theatre, ¥3/hour capped at ¥20, with EV charging.
• With elderly companions or heavy luggage, a taxi to the theatre entrance is more direct.

Getting back after the show

• The evening show ends around 21:00; leave in an orderly way following staff directions.
• Walk 10 minutes to Afanggong Nan Station on Line 5, or pick up your car from Lot 1 or Lot 2.

Timing advice

Check-in opens about 35 minutes before the show and closes 15 minutes after it starts. Whatever transport you take, set off an hour early and leave a buffer — latecomers cannot get in.
