Visitor Guide

Before You Go

  • ID: Real-name admission. Bring the original ID matching your booking — a resident ID card, or passport, Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macao residents, Mainland Travel Permit for Taiwan residents, Permanent Resident ID Card for foreigners, or Residence Permit for Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan residents. Minors aged 5 and above without an ID card must bring the original household register and be accompanied by a adult guardian throughout.
  • Arrival time: Entry check begins ~35 minutes before showtime and closes 15 minutes after. The theater is ~10 min walk from the metro; arrive about 1 hour early.
  • Tickets & seats: ID-card bookings need no paper ticket — just scan your ID to enter. Non-ID bookings must first collect a paper ticket at the ticketing center window. Your seat number is sent by SMS (look for the official message starting with “Shaanxi Daqin Performing Arts Operation Management Co., Ltd.”); you can also scan on-site or query by booking ID and phone number.

Entry Rules

  • Entry time: check begins ~35 minutes before showtime; arrive about 1 hour early.
  • Real-name verification: strictly match ticket, ID, and person. Bring the ID matching your booking and scan to enter — no paper ticket needed.
  • Latecomers: after the show starts, the audience platform moves mechanically forward or back. Beyond 15 minutes there is no safe route to enter, and mid-show exit is not allowed; if within 15 minutes late, follow staff to be seated in batches.
  • Forgotten ID: go to the ticketing center window with your ID number + booking order page (or success notification). ID number alone is not enough; proxy pickup requires the attendee’s original ID.

Viewing Etiquette

  • After the show starts, set your phone to silent; avoid blocking views or moving around.
  • No photos or video anywhere: the visuals are spectacular — we suggest giving the performance your full attention, and to avoid disturbing others. Professional cameras and aerial drones are not allowed in the theater.
  • No outside food, drinks (including colored beverages), or pets in the audience hall; smoking is prohibited throughout the theater.
  • Sit in your assigned seat; do not switch seats or occupy others’. If tall headwear affects others, follow staff instructions.

Safety & Health

  • During the show the audience seats move mechanically with the story; stay seated and follow staff guidance.
  • Children must be buckled in by their guardian.
  • For safety, we do not recommend the show for guests aged 75 and above, pregnant women, and those with claustrophobia, high blood pressure, heart conditions, or who have been drinking. Guests with mobility needs should arrive early and contact on-site staff for assistance.
  • In an emergency, follow staff evacuation calmly and orderly.

Storage & Guest Services

  • Bag storage: free self-service lockers on Level 1; oversized luggage can be stored manually at the ticketing center (West Hall) on Level 2.
  • Restrooms: temporary mobile restrooms behind the audience seats; ask nearby staff for directions.
  • On-site service: the ticketing center window handles ticket collection and info changes; overseas visitors can try the AI smart translation glasses.

Around the Theater

  • Dining: within walking distance of the entrance are hotpot, Western food, coffee and more (see Getting There); a bit further, head north on Tiantai Road to the Daqin Hot Spring dining zone, or south to Wuyue Plaza, both with many restaurants.
  • Transport: Metro Line 5, Exit A/D of Afanggong Nan, then ~1 km (about 10 min) north on Tiantai Road; after the evening show (~21:00) the metro is still running — see Getting There.

Just a few steps? Don't hesitate — book it.
